Open Stage Tuesdays

Chameleon Arts Consortium, led by Damon Patterson and consortium member Dae Ahzae, has established Open Stage Tuesday to support and provide area musicians, poets and writers with the opportunity to perform for a peer audience. Each Tuesday local bands, rap artists, blues poets and others perform from 6:30 to 11:30 at Chameleon. Over 100 artists have performed on the open stage since its inception in October of 2007. The event has been so successful that we have moved Open Stage Tuesdays to the Mall Theater at 31st and Troost to accommodate larger audiences. An audience of over 700 people have attended and participated in Open Stage Tuesdays.

Helping the underground in becoming self-sufficient, Dae Ahzae and I Am You Entertainment LLC.
The Showcase and Twenty 8 Twenty 9 highlights Kansas City’s local talent and provides poets, dance groups, musicians and Hip Hop artists with an event that creates a marketplace for local artists. The goal of these productions is to provide performance and entrepreneurial opportunities for small arts groups and individual artists. 400 audience members attended these events. This is a continuing monthly program and Chameleon Arts Caravan Partnership.
